En una operación ejecutada por el Grupo Especial contra el Crimen Organizado (GRECCO), la Policía Nacional detuvo en el distrito de Lince a una ciudadana venezolana sindicada como presunta cabecilla de la organización criminal transnacional Tren de Aragua.
Según las primeras investigaciones, la mujer contaba con una orden de captura internacional por su presunta participación en el secuestro de un funcionario público en Chile. Además, se le vincula con redes dedicadas a la trata de personas y al cobro de cupos en el Perú, así como con otras estructuras delictivas que operan en distintos puntos de la región.
La detenida fue puesta a disposición del Ministerio Público y de la Interpol para las diligencias correspondientes, mientras las autoridades peruanas coordinan con sus pares chilenos los procedimientos de extradición y la ampliación de las pesquisas.
Las fuerzas del orden reiteraron su compromiso de continuar desarticulando las células del Tren de Aragua que intentan reorganizarse en territorio nacional pese al estado de emergencia vigente en diversas zonas del país.
